I Won

I can't believe I won some "blog candy" form Coupon Cravings blog!! Thanks so much for a great gift!!! I love to share blog candy but I've never received any so I'm thrilled!! I get tons of great Frugal help from her site so make sure you check it out. And for those frugal ladies visiting from her site you will want to check out all my frugal links on the side bar. I've also posted a few freebies farther down in this blog!

Scrapbook Class

Here are a few of the classes I've been teaching at the Local Scrapbook Store....below is the acrylic stocking album....pictures don't really show the detail very well.
This pic is showing that you CAN stamp on acrylic using the stazon in -- we then inked the edges and used stickles to add sparkle.

This is the class I just taught last evening.....it was an autumn layout. Now, I thank the Lord for the cricut machine and all the things I was able to cut out with that. This class has alot of details to it and took awhile to put together. But, I like it!

I used a felt paper for the Ground and the tree, bucket and fence I used a textured paper along with a lot of pop dots...so lots of dimensional things here.

Sneak Peak

Shalene will be turning 13 on Thanksgiving Day this year. SO............We decided to have her 13th party this Saturday! Decided on doing a 50's theme -- you know - hulahoop contest, fries and hotdogs, poodle skirt, slicked back hair, leather jackets -- you get the point. Above is a pic of her invitation we sent out and some of the "records" I made to decorate with. We also have a poodle skirt in the making!!! SO there you have it folks, a sneek peek at Shalene's party that we are having this weekend. Will post pics later of the party and sleepover!!

Black Friday!

For those of you who go shopping on Black Friday here is a link that will let you see many of the shoppers so you can plan your early morning strategy!! They don't have the ads out yet but hopefully soon!

I don't know about any of you but Black Friday EARLY morning shopping has become a tradition for this family. After the Thanksgiving meal we ALL sit down and dig through the shoppers and plan were we need to be and at what time. We usually are there for the Door opening at one store or another. Stay shopping till after lunch, come home for a nap and oft times go out again in the evening. This especially occurs when my parents are here for the holidays, which is the case this year!
Now, I will admit that we have witnessed many "odd" things by going shopping in the morning. And usually when the day is over we have some stories to tell. So, I guess we will see what this year holds. We do usually get some really great deals and have fun at the same time. However, this getting up at 2 a.m. is well...............whatever, its fun.

Long Awaited Garage Doors!

Clayton sitting in the garage doing his homework......he didn't want to miss out on the construction and seeing what all was getting accomplished. But mean mom -- making sure ALL homework was finished!

Finally, the garage doors have arrived. Steve and his brother Wes unloaded the doors Friday night and had planned to work on em Saturday. BUT, since Steve was thrilled to have the doors here they ended up putting one of the doors in that evening.

It has taken us awhile to get the money to finish the garage, but the floor is now poured and doors on. Steve plans to do some stuff inside but it is now officially closed in. Now, I'm ready for him to put the rooms in the back half -- the laundry room and scrapbook room!!! YAHOO

Working on Christmas!

I've started working on some projects for Christams.....seems like once November comes things can get pretty hectic towards the end of the months....so I'm trying to get a head start.

Here is a countdown to Christmas.

Used a regular office clipboard, My Minds Eye Paper and a few embellishments.

This is the back--So we will always have the extra numbers in one place.
