Snow Today!!!! UGH

Can you believe it.....we actually had some snow flurries and hail today!! UGH!! (The pic below is not from here, our snow didn't add up to anything but its still depressing when you have snow in Oct.) Now we do live at the foot of the mountain here in Pa, so not everyone in Union County got snow. We must be the lucky ones?????

Renaissance Faire

Ok, we are WAAAAAAAAAAAY behind on posting....last Saturday, the 11th we went to the Renaissance Faire as a field trip with the Cyber School lots of fun!! Above: Standing in front of a "bush" in the shape of a lady.

Trying on hats-- This was like a little village that you could walk through and shop at. We watched glass blowing along with lots of other interesting things. We went here last year and the kids really loved it so we made a day of it again.
The sign above was something Steve said he should buy for Alyssa...she laughs at so much!
This was a really neat show -- we will have to post more pics later! But we had a good time watching Queen Elizabeth, seeing how they trained the eagles and buying 2 baby dragons!! Clayton got these dragons (lizards that change colors) as a souvenir and now we are all hunting for bugs to feed the things.

New Project

Here is one of my newer projects. One of the ladies I work with brought a sample into the store a few weeks back and I really liked it -- I put my own "twist" to it but hey -- don't we all. Its a DVD metal container -- take out the insert and have fun....this paper is so pretty (its double sided and I love it) Sorry the pics are a bit fuzzy!!!
Inside of tin -- notebook, a little "pocket", clip and matching pen. Note top of notepad had piece of paper added as well to make it coordinating -- I had enough paper left from project that I will be able to cover the next several notebooks -- the notebooks have to be cut down to fit!!
Now this is a fuzzy pic but I wanted you to see that the pen was taken apart and paper inserted into it to make it all coordinating. I have already made a few of these for Christmas gifts - kindda different in look -- And no!! I'm not posting those because they have names on the fronts of the tins and then you'll know who they are for. (giggle, snort!)

Frost it Pink

Its official -- I will be naming the online scrapbook store - Frost it Pink -- sooooo....anyone who has ANY suggestions please let me know. For instance....titles for each page of the the page for projects I may call "cafe' " or about us page maybe "sprinkles" -- you get what I'm saying....again, if anyone gives me an idea and I end up using it, I will send a scrapbook goodie your way -- probably something out of the package that wasn't taken for naming the site. (Sarah hasn't told me which set she chose yet!!) So give me some great ideas for my scrapbook site....

I will not be doing anything on an official basis until around Feb. Gotta go get the business license and all that stuff now. Thanks to all who have been a help!

Pap and Grandma's 50th Anniversary

Ok, so this is Lyssa posting again, its been quite a while but.. I'm back :) along with my terrible spelling haha (it would b worse without spell check;)
anyway, this weekend we (not just my immediate family, but all of my dads brothers, their wives, their kids) did this party thing for my grandparents. it is their 50th anniversary next month and we wanted to surprise them with a party. so somehow my uncles worked it out that they would bring pap and grandma to the lodge and we would all b waiting for them there... i don't know how they did it cuz the lodge was way up in the mountain but they got them there and they were VERY surprised lol soo.... instead of boring u with just telling ya about it.. here's some pics
uhh this is them coming in the drive, i think they thought that they had to drop somethin off or something. (o and i wasn't here for this part but i watched the video.. my pap just sat there in the car with his mouth open, like literally open haha)
cousin Jeremy...
uhh random shot, think their throwin aunts.. and my mom lol I'd list their names and who their married to but i doubt you really care so.. these ladies r married to my dads brothers :)
each of the ladies^^^ made 2 cakes for lunch on Saturday. (i think somebody made 3 but that's beside the point haha)

renewing wedding vows
Garett, hiding behind the video camera. well actually he didn't know i was taking the pic haha
outside on the deck waiting for the little ceremony thing to start
so I'm sitting there cross-legged on the deck... falling asleep.. and i look over and there's this leaf. i took a picture lol
my grandparents && their boys

uhh this would b my family. not nearly all of them, but the 7 boys, their wives, most of their kids and then their children... yeah but we're still missing uhh i think 8 ppl here.
o by the way, there's like.. 40 people in this pic so that's like less than 1/5 of the people that we had up at the lodge
haha all of the kids, grandkids and great grandkids were told to stand in this designated spot while Justin took some pics of.. people lol anyway, Miles Asher got tired of waiting and.. his sense of humor combined with his energy and his anxiousness... i got this picture and some other pretty funny ones.
