Blog Giveaway
Knoebels
Clayton, Lyssa and John going on the KSploosh (or whatever it is called) this is were you get 1000's of gallons of water dumped on you -- hee hee, not sure how much water but needless to say that when you land at the bottom its like a tunnel of water surrounding the little boat and when people are getting off of the boat they are trying to find a dry spot on their clothing to wipe their glasses off...they never find the dry spot. People who are standing on the side watching -- well, the one little boy literally got knocked over by the water wave that flew at him!
Below is the picture that I tried to take when they landed...just to give you a bit of an idea as to the water!!
Alyssa and John being brave.
The bumper cars are the ultimate favorite!!!! Each one of us has things we like to ride but as far as a family ride -- the bumper cars are it! This was the first year that Clayton was old/tall enough to drive a bumper car by himself -- he decided that it was pretty cool.
I can't go here and not get a funnel cake while visiting....I must admit that I had to have my very own and couldn't share!!! I LOVE funnel cakes. Okay - not sure why I'm showing you how big my mouth is -- but I did want you to know that this funnel cake was WONDERFUL -- and NO, I didn't eat all of the funnel cakes...
Clayton LOVES driving the old cars!!
Alyssa, John and Clayton (in the back, can't hardly see him) One of Steve's very favorite things to do is stand on the deck and watch the people come down on the log ride...you can pay a quarter to shoot bursts of water at the people ----- he seems to love doing this.

This was the first year that Alyssa decided she'd give the roller coasters a chance -- John talked her into it.... Shalene & I were getting ready to climb on board but Shalene decided she didn't think she was up to it this time around...once Alyssa rode it the first time....there was no stopping her!

Time to Enjoy the Flowers!
Well, I wasn't gonna spend the money on any flowers this year. BUT, I couldn't contain myself and I purchased a few. Here is a picture of my most favorite annual (I don't usually spend money on many flowers that aren't gonna last and come up the next year BUT I do buy these!) The double impatients...I LOVE EM
My Treasures
Today Alyssa and I had to take the puppies into the vet to get their tails docked...after we were finished and the babies returned to the very unhappy mother, we decided to hit some yardsales.
So off we went.....found some clothes for everyone, but myself (I did get a pair of shoes) BUT, I found some really awesome stuff. First I found a big bag of old clothes pins. The last picture shows you what I plan to do with em...I'm gonna roll all of my scrapbook ribbon on them and then get really big glass jars and fill the jars!!! OHHHHH, I've gotta get busy, I'll have to post a picture when I finally get that project finished.
I also found some old thread spools(which I've wanted to find for awhile), that I'll probably use for ribbon as well. Then I came across doilies and old hankies. I love these for sticking in little places all around the house. I came across an old chicken crate but it wasn't in the best of shape for the price they wanted!! I WANT one of those old crates...been drooling over them for a long time. Oh well, maybe nest yardsale.

We have BABIES!!!
Last evening as we were all preparing to go away, we noticed that our cocker spaniel, Bree, was acting a bit funny. We knew her due date was soon but tonight? We had plans.....we'll we decided that Alyssa & I would hang around and see what happened....needless to say, before Steve even left we had one puppy and than one as he was pulling out the drive. (The dark one in the bottom picture is the oldest!)
Free BBQ Grills
My mother who is now a "southerner" (she lives in South Carolina now) shared this with me and I thought I'd pass it along.
As every Southerner knows, come this spring it will be time to get ready for that all-important cooking technique of the south --- outdoor grilling! I have just found out there are several stores (not just in the South) where you can get a FREE Bar-B-Q grill! You can get a free BBQ grill from any of the following stores:

Big Lots
Brookshire's
Lowes

My Mother's Day
Steve decided to take pictures of mom with the kids.
Me with my pretty roses that the kids got me. Clayton made sure I got pink -- he informed his dad that I had to have the pink ones.

Here is a picture of some of my stuff....I received a cricut cartridge from the girls....for those of you scrappers you'll know what I mean. And Clayton made me a homemade shelf to hang coats...still wants to paint it. And Steve, well, even though he isn't my kid he says he want to get me a KitchenAid mixer since my mixer died. I think he is concerned about the lack of baked goods that have been in the house (giggle)
